It's time to say goodbye to all my fellow Focus on Lifer's! It's been a great year meeting so many new like-minded souls, watching us all stretch and grow together. I've only used this blog this year to post once a week because I was truly focusing on life, it was a very busy and fulfilling year for me. I was thinking of some cool photo I was going to take of myself saying goodbye but I think what I have to share next is fitting on the "Focus on Life" prompt as a whole. This wraps up the year for me perfectly. I'm going to share it here exactly like I did on Facebook yesterday.
"So I was just informed that a girl I used to work with years ago had a stroke yesterday and died today, she's the same age as me......what the heck, why? I say all this to say, life is short, we're not promised tomorrow. Kiss your mate, play video games with him, buy those shoes you think you're too old to wear, eat cookies before dinner, screw the calories, let your dog hug you, forgive those who hate you and despitefully use you, get over yourself you're not that dignified, giggle, dance, cry hard, have a belly laugh, go travel, make Jesus The Lord of your life if you don't you spend an eternity in hell, yes I'm a Jesus freak and not ashamed if it, the truth will set you free! Quit half stepping with God, quit hating and demanding justice when you won't extend mercy yourself, quit trying to run your kids lives, pay for someone's lunch, help out your neighbor, try something new, for God's sake get happy about something!, enjoy and embrace this one sweet life your given!!!!!"
Thank you Sally for being our host, I'm so glad I ran into your blog a year ago. Although the invitation has been extended to Focus on Life again next year, I have decided not to join. I hope you all have a wonderful 2014, Focusing on Life, it's been a great ride!
See how everyone else said goodbye below!
